The department of Anthropology was founded as part of the Faculty of Science-Literature in 1995. The education covering the Paleoanthropology and Physical Anthropology and Social and Cultural Anthropology branches in the department, however, started in 1999. Seven classrooms, two of which are visual, the Anthropology laboratory and the offices are situated in the B Block of the Faculty of Science-Literature.

areer possibilities: The graduates of the Anthropology Department can work in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Natural History Museums, Foundation of Forensic Medicine, Population Science İnstitutions and the organizations dealing with the Earth Sciences.
